The French, quite gambling and purposeful in nature, became the founders of many sports in Europe. It was in France at the end of the 19th century that the National Olympic Committee came into being under the leadership of the local nobleman Pierre Coubertin, who revived the ancient Olympiad in its new capacity under the unofficial motto: “Sport instead of war!”. The first two decades of the twentieth century, the French designers were the leaders in the production of aircraft, the aircraft they created differed not only in a variety of forms, but also in interesting engineering projects, as well as in quantity. The originality of the French aircraft industry was also manifested in the fact that the first factory in 1910 was created by a silk merchant, Armand Deperdussen. The name, consisting of the abbreviation of his name – SPAD, was retained by the next owner, the famous pilot Louis Bleriot, who supplied the new fighters not only in the French Air Force, but also in other European powers, including Russia. B – Bastille, the day of the capture of this prison fortress built in 1370 – July 14, 1889 – is considered one of the most important national holidays. In fact, the main reason for the storming of the Bastille was the seizure of weapons stored there, and not the release of prisoners, who at the time were not more than ten people.
